All,
please join us today, 3pm in the Munk Conference Room for
Jim Behrens
on
Amery's Loose Tooth:
The Making of a Large Iceberg
The Loose Tooth is a large (30 x 30 km) iceberg-to-be, still in the
process of rifting away from the edge of the Amery Ice Shelf in
East Antarctica. A group led by Helen Fricker has been monitoring
this process for several years. This presentation will be a
show-and-tell
of photos, video, and preliminary results from the 2005-2006 field
season,
along with a summary of previous studies of Loose Tooth rifting.
This is the no-budget informal seminar. Sorry, no wine and cheese but
I'm sure the talk will be fun!
Some slots are still open. Drop me a note if you're interested:
